ToxBank is a web-based Open Access scientific warehouse for toxicity data management and modelling. It served the SEURAT-1 programme as a dedicated warehouse for toxicity data management/modelling, a “gold standard” compound database and repository of selected test compounds, and a reference resource for cells, cell lines and tissues for in vitro systemic toxicity research. 

Following OpenTox’s leadership in interoperability, Toxbank provides unified data access. It enables the construction of protocols and processed data that can be integrated for analysis, decision-making and hypothesis generation purposes. Finally, it supports a network of experts who may synthesize and interpret knowledge within a weight of evidence framework leading to judgements on safety.
