We’re excited to be participating in WC13 in Brazil! Our Edelweiss Connect team will be involved in two sessions:
Session 132 – Application of New Approach Methods in the Safe and Sustainable Design of Innovative Products Monday, 11:30–13:00, Room 203
Chaired by Barry Hardy (Edelweiss Connect) and Carolina Horta Andrade (Universidade Federal de Goiás), this session features speakers exploring how Safe and Sustainable by Design (SSbD) frameworks and New Approach Methods (NAMs) support early-stage product design, integrating human safety, environmental considerations, and sustainability. Topics include environmental assessment, computational approaches, and high-throughput transcriptomics tools.
Session 20 – Artificial Intelligence to Reduce and Replace Animal Testing Monday, 09:30–11:00, Plenary Room
This session brings together world-class experts in AI and predictive toxicology, including Nicole Kleinstreuer (NIH/NICEATM), Thomas Hartung (Johns Hopkins CAAT), and Bennard Van Ravenzwaay (Environmental Sciences Consulting). Barry Hardy (Edelweiss Connect) will contribute, presenting on how FAIR data and AI-enabled workflows support Safe and Sustainable by Design approaches.
